The program features a tribute book and website designed to celebrate, share and gift the stories of Jewish women who inspire and build their families and community.
“In the fractured world in which we live, we need to hear the voices, life experiences and insight of women today more than ever before,” said Rabbi Ruvi New, Director and Spiritual Leader of Boca Beach Chabad.
Finding Faith: Chabad assembling inspiring stories about ‘Women of Valor’
Mother’s Day is May 12, but Rabbi Ruvi New, director and spiritual leader of Boca Beach Chabad, hasn’t needed a holiday to think about the mothers and wives, sisters and sisters-in-law, in his congregation.
New says he’s seen “a coming together” that has put women’s issues front and center. Amid the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, people seem to be listening, he said.
Now the rabbi wants to provide a platform to present the stories he’s heard about the quiet courage and unbreakable commitment, the strength, resolve and stamina, of Jewish women. He realized that those stories were being lost.
So he found a solution.

Women of Valor project launched by Boca Beach Chabad
Boca Beach Chabad recently launched its “Women of Valor: Sharing Stories, Celebrating Lives” project just in time for Women’s History Month, which is celebrated throughout March.
This project features a tribute book as well as a website, womenofvalor.life. It is designed to celebrate, share and gift the stories of Jewish women who inspire and build their families, communities and the world. This project seeks to celebrate generations of women and share stories of inspiration, courage, humor, strength, perseverance and commitment through the tribute book and website.

New Book Celebrates Women
Tapping into the current public focus on women’s empowerment, Boca Beach Chabad in Florida launched a new platform where women’s life journeys, stories, and lessons are celebrated, shared, and given over to the next generation. The Women of Valor project includes a website for publishing these stories, events to highlight individual women’s achievements, and, the crown jewel, a Women of Valor Tribute coffee-table book for the preservation of these stories.
“Inside every woman is a story waiting to be told,” says Rabbi Ruvi New, who directs the Chabad center with his wife Ahuva, “but sometimes it’s kept in the family and doesn’t get beyond that. We realized the importance of having a medium to share stories of present day women, and legacies of those who passed on, to the next generation beyond just the family circle.” Pamela Dubin, a consultant on the project, adds, “We constantly see negative stories in the media, but in our private lives, we hear beautiful stories. Here we have a chance to share it with others.”
